Good, heavy-duty distribution block for off-grid solar installation.
These 150A 12V (40A 48V) Power Distribution Block Bus Bars are suitable for low voltage power distribution in an enclosed environment, or within a weatherproof cabinet if used for outside distribution circuits. I am going to use these distribution blocks for the low-voltage circuits of an off-grid solar installation with LED lighting, 12V storage batteries, and a 600W inverter for 110/240V AC output. Each bus bar is fitted with 4xM6 terminal studs and 6xM4 terminal screws. The end studs are fitted with screw-on plastic caps, which retain a rigid, translucent plastic cover over the terminals. The cover offers some guarding of the terminals but they are still accessible from the sides, so any loose wiring in the vicinity could make contact with the bus bar. The red/black plastic base has two holes for screw mounting (25mm chipboard screws provised) and is robust enough to be used with suitably heavy-duty cables. The description states, "These bus bars feature pure copper studs for excellent conductivity and stainless steel screws/nuts that are rust and corrosion-resistant." At first glance, I thought all the metal parts are stainless but scratching the bar exposed the copper under a thick nickel plating. Overall the power distribution block looks to be of good quality, and whilst there are cheaper alternatives, it will give me a neat installation with capability to add additional circuits if required.

Pretty much perfect
Really nicely made busbars. The cover is held onto the M8 studs at either end by a domed nuts, the most secure I've seen used in busbars, and while the cover doesn't provide any atmospheric protection it WILL stop spanners and screwdrivers from falling onto potentially high current supplies. There's 4 M8 studs and 6 M4 screw terminals which should provide plenty of wiring options. I have a 12V supply in my office due to having so many 12V appliances and lights, so these are destined to be the centre of the distribution board for it (a literal board with relays and controllers and things). They're overkill for what I'm doing at the moment but I want things to look tidy. And the price - at under £14 they're cheaper than other busbars I've reviewed while being at least as good, better than one set. I can recommend to anyone needing busbars for a project.
