Cadbury Curly Wurly Chocolate Bar 21.5g (Pack of 20)

I live in the states - that unfortunate place where the citizens are subjected to Cadbury chocolate made by Hershey's, thinking that they're eating UK Cadbury. So laughable. The difference between Cadbury and Cadbury by Hershey's is night and day. It's the difference between water and salt water. It rather looks the same, but the taste tells you that something is dreadfully wrong. And there's no way around it, supposedly. Unless one goes to a specialty store or brings it over the pond themselves, finding true Cadbury is next to impossible. The creme egg, the mini eggs, the dairy milk bar... Hershey's. Yuck! And then there is this guy: The Curly Wurly bar I first heard of Curly Wurly bars through the BBC (Vicar of Dibley). Extremely glad that I did! This is one of a handful of Cadbury chocolate that I can get that is made in the UK and shipped to the US. I will never buy my Cadbury from Hershey's ever again. I don't know what those maniacs did to the recipe, but one lick is enough to propel someone into a diabetic coma. The chocolate in this bar is sweet, but not too sweet. It's smooth. Subtle. I dare say "sexy". It forces you to savor it as it molests your senses with its delicate deliciousness. Do not get me started on the caramel lattice work. YUM! Buttery. Luscious. Sweet, but not over-powering. I bought these bars for my husband, who has only ever had Cadbury by Hershey's. I honestly wish I had video taped that moment when I dropped a bit of it in his mouth. He, quite literally, had a choco-gasm. Ladies and gents, we have a convert! I love the fact that I got these bars for less than a dollar each and that they arrived 10 days ahead of schedule. The arrival time was between April 22 and May 5th (I believe). I ordered them I think the 24th of March. The bars arrived today, April 10th. Being that they are shipping from the UK, I find that extraordinary. I really didn't expect them so soon. They came VERY well packaged, wrapped snuggly in British newspaper (which is extra awesome. And I swear even their newspaper is made of finer quality paper.) Someone took the time to gently wrap these bars so that they arrived in as good condition as possible. And the box size was a perfect fit. The seller really does put a lot of thought into the item being sent - something else one rarely gets in the US. Will definitely be purchasing again in the future! Delicious. Loved these as a kid when there were called Marathon bars. Haven’t seen in forever so was pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy these again. Can’t wait to get next shipment!

Tasteless and hard Seem very old candy ! I bought this candy at sweet shop downtown Gilbert Az It was amazing . So I went online to order directly from company thinking much better all around ! Nope not a good experience at all They pushed out delivery to later and when arrived and open to eat pieces all broke up and hard ! Did not taste like Carmel . Just sweet buttery chewy substance ! Even the chocolate was off in taste ! I say save ur money and taste buds go different direction buy from local place. Or another kind of candy !!!! Save ur money and time. No refunds with this company no response or anything !! Run

Was so excited when I saw these had arrived at my house, However upon opening saw that they clearly melted at some point during transit. Instead of the beautiful braided fluffy delight, they were smashed to a thickness about that of a Quarter :-( Even though has been much cooler here the last few days, with such a long transit time to get here should have assumed they would melt at some point along the way. Still (kinda) edible and taste is quite good, but its more like eating a Sugar Daddy rather than a Marathon Bar like I remembered. The seller might note them differently on the package to improve their chances of not melting on the way. The price point is still quite good, but I wouldn't order again unless I was confident they wouldn't be melted versions. EDIT: Thought was only fair that I added an edit here. While yes, they were melted, and yes flat as a pancake, my Family has blasted through these. Even though visually unappealing, they still tasted good enough that they are almost all gone and my Son asking me to reorder. 2ND EDIT: I had to bump this review up a star. I reordered and this time arrived in *MUCH* better shape than the last one.

Absolutely the best! My sister was recalling wigwam bars from when she was a child.. i found these and sent them to her so she could relive some memories. Thank you so much for each moment she relived while snacking on these.

Although not the taste I remember, the bars were fresh and shipped quickly, arriving before expected date.

Very close to the Wig Wam we use to get many years ago.
