They saved me from a disaster!!! (but did need to carefully bend them into proper shape for install)
LEVEL YOUR WASHER BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!!! See my photos to see what happens when you do like me and fail to remember to level the washer before stacking. Thank goodness I made sure to keep lots of slack with the connected water and electrical because there would have been a flood otherwise. Because I failed to ensure the washer was properly level the entire stacked rig vibrated so badly it not only "creeped" its way away from the way by around 2.5 feet or so from the wall, the rigid dryer vent piping sheared apart in two places (top elbow above and connecting elbow behind the dryer). In fact, the combination of the weight of the entire rig along with its motion ended up chewing up the linoleum floor below (again see photos). In the end, this is a testimonial about the quality of this particular mounting kit in how it prevented the dryer from flying off of the washer during its vibrating journey away from the wall on top of the washer! However, and as you'll see, even the screws connecting one of the clips holding the dryer down began to come loose from the vibrations. So, my plan is to use locking washers when I reconnect everything AFTER I take down the dryer, reposition the washer at the wall, and balance the thing properly. Per my original report from the other day, my original problem with these clips for my pair of Whirlpool Duets was they clearly needed to be bent in order to stretch downward sufficiently for the connecting screws to do their job. I always wanted a good excuse to pickup a cheap Harbor Freight workbench vise. But unless you're pretty buff I can't think of any other way to truly control the stretching process to make these clips work. On another note, the plastic pieces to sit at the top of the clip where it connects to the slot of the dryer (top of clip) are worthless and WILL fall into the dryer bottom if you're not careful (so I ended up not using them). And, as it turned out, they really weren't absolutely necessary to survive my recent crazy event above. Lastly, keep in mind the provided screws will need significant elbow grease to get through the official holes on the back of the washer top. This I believe is normal and to be expected. Once you're in after a few turns it gets a LOT easier to tighten them fully. But be warned: put controlled pressure on the screws as you turn with your Phillips head screwdriver because you will possibly otherwise strip the screw head in the process making it useless. Honestly, and given the reasonably low price) there's no better way to mount your dryer on top of your washer than these clips (hence the four-star rating). I'm simply giving fair warning in advance to be prepared for them not to initially fit without additional manipulation of the clips themselves. And lock washers may not be a bad idea either.

Still making parts that fit after all these years...
In 2002, I bought a Whirlpool Duet washer (GHW9200LQ) and dryer (GEW9200LQ0) set after return from overseas assignment in Germany. They stayed in Texas for 11 years during my tours in Virginia, Iraq, Kuwait, Japan and Kansas. We moved into our forever home Jan 2015, and because we now also have a freezer and our old side-by-side in the laundry room, I researched stacking to make space for everything. I was concerned because of the age of my set, that any kits I would find would be for much newer models. Was able to find the kit for the dryer, but the product description was silent about the type of washer it would work with. But hey, I had a 50/50 chance. Ordered the kit, it arrived in 2 days as promised. Instructions were straight forward. We already had the dryer on top of the washer. We simply tilted it back, my husband held on to it, I installed the glue-on strips, then slid the dryer back about an inch past the washer, installed the plastic clips, then the steel brackets. Perfect fit! Key: The dryer cannot sit on top of the washer aligned at the back. It has to be offset by an inch otherwise the brackets will not fit properly, nor hold the dryer in place. This is on purpose, so access to the detergent/bleach/softener drawer is not hindered. Also, if you do not have it offset, or don't have it offset enough, the brackets will not fit properly. After I initially installed the brackets, I nudged the dryer back a hair to ensure the brackets were seated snugly, then tightened the screws completely. I am running my first load now. Standing in front of the stack during the spin cycle. Since the washer is no longer on the pedestal, it makes so much less noise during the spin. The dryer shifted about 1/16th of an inch at the right front corner. I will just have to remember to check after each load and nudge it to back into position. Small price to pay for the extra space. So now I had two pedestals taking up space...i stacked them on top of each other and we put our upright freezer on top of them. I still have the drawer storage space and now no longer have to bend over to get to the bottom shelves in the freezer. We will close off the outside vent pipe for the dryer and purchase an indoor vent-less dryer kit. The climate in Southwest Texas is very dry and could do with some moisture and in the winter it will generate some extra heat as the laundry room is pretty far from the furnace. I took some photos, but have to post them from my tablet or laptop as it does not give me the option from my cell.

Wish I'd done it long ago!
For those who felt they had to "bend it to make it fit" you're doing it wrong! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! My son said the same thing until I pointed out the dryer needs to be pushed back about an inch overhanging the back of the washing machine, just a couple wiggles and it lines up perfectly! It allows the front of both machines to line up and the little brackets to work as they're supposed to. I did need to use different screws but swapped them out with others on the back and they worked great! So much more room now!

Installed but modified.
Installed today to stack my Duet washer and dryer. It connects to the dryer (top) with only a hook and the washer (bottom) with two screws. It wasn’t a very tight fit so I drilled two holes in the top part of the bracket and screwed two self tapping screws into each bracket and into the dryer. With this addition I am confident it’s not going anywhere. See pictures for details.

Amazing price, easy to install
This kit did exactly what it needed to do. Instructions were easy to understand and follow, taking only about 10 minutes to do the job. Having a stacked washer/dryer opened up so much space in our laundry room! Most significant feature was the price. I checked for this item at the Whirlpool website and the sites of other major applicance retailers and this same kit was retailed at $29 which was a ridiculous price for two simple brackets, four screws, a couple of nylon spacers and two adhesive strip pads. Amazon's price of $6.99 at the time I ordered it ($11.33 being advertised now) is by far the most reasonable for exactly the same product offered by Whirlpool. I very much recommend this kit.

Worked exactly as described and the screws even fit where it was noted it did not work on some models reading the past reviews

Looks perfect except no screws or clips were included in it so I can't use it.

Ordered, fast shipping, great price, installed and works fine. This was very helpful to us, thank you. Hopefully won't have to, but would buy again for sure.

We stacked our washer and dryer and this worked to hold them together. A bit pricey for what it is I could have made some brackets myself if I would have seen them first. They came quickly and worked so I guess that counts for something.
