Product Description Note: Disconnect mains electricity supply before handling or attempting maintenance. Always fully read and check the troubleshooting section within your product instruction manual. Check to make sure the UV light is switched to the ON position. Push both clips in on either side of the unit to remove the bottom casing. Unscrew the securing quartz cover/locking screw that is in place. Twist the cap anti-clockwise until it hits the locking fixture. Gently twist and pull the quarts of which will expose you too the bulb. Check that the bulb is intact and has not become loose in the fitting while in transit. Also, check that all of the filaments are in place and have not been damaged within the UV bulb. If you are testing the bulb outside of the casing, the cut off will prevent this from igniting when not connected. If you cannot see the light through the indicator window (bearing in mind that the UV light will appear faint in direct sunlight) you should test that the bulb is securely seated in the fitting. The safety override switch is located next to the bulb fitting. Please hold this is in when the power is on and the bulb should ignite (do NOT look directly at the bulb, preferably cover with a thin cloth).
