This mat is a great mat. The grip is helpful, not a lot of slippage. The color is nice, it is very thin and super easy to roll up or fold for travel. I recently rolled it up so that it was about the size of my 16oz water bottle so I was super excited about that. I would say the 2 downsides of the mat are because it is so thin it moves a bit when on the floor(like fabric would move) but definitely not so much that it is a problem and secondly it could be a few inches longer. I am tall(ish, 5'8") and I always end up off the mat just a bit. Overall I like the mat and use it both at home and when I travel. Would buy again.

This mat was recommended to me by my yoga teacher. I got this and took it on a recent short trip and it fit nicely folded in my backpack. I found it folded better than rolled in the pack. I roll it to store it at home though. It’s very portable! It is very thin but that’s so it can be folded easily and of course it makes it lighter. It did a long yoga session on it and I felt comfortable. I will take this whenever I travel!

Pros: very good grip, light weight, folds up well to stick in my backpack. Cons: very thin and does not provide cushion. I would recommend putting it on top of a loaner mat at a studio and putting it on carpet when travelling. Another minor con is dust and pet hair really sticks to it But over all I'm happy with this purchase. I use a Manduka mat for home practice but that mat is a bit heavy to carry everywhere. I like this jade mat for studio class.

One thing is for sure, this yoga mat is super light. You can either roll it up or fold it, easy to carry with you and doesn't take up a lot of space. The grip on this mat is awesome. I have another yoga mat from Jade Yoga which is a bigger size and a lot thicker and it has the same awesome grip. These are the best yoga mats I have tried so far. I tried a Manduka Pro Yoga mat which was pretty expensive and I returned it because the grip was the most awful ever. I can't believe this mat gets good reviews at all! Grip should be there from start, which you definitely get with Jade Yoga mats. The only downside to the stickiness is that every bit of dirt tends to stick more to it as well. And I will agree that these mats definitely have a strong smell. Still, I wouldn't trade my two Yoga Jade mats for any other ones! I'm very pleased with my purchases.

I bought this at the suggestion of Wirecutter. It smelled awful even after a week of airing it out and leaving it outside. It was completely unusable.

I am practicing my warriors and my balances and my sun salutations and holding every pose much longer than usual ~ so satisfying! The JadeYoga Voyager Natural Rubber mat provides me with improved stability and traction. I've been using the Eko mat. The JadeYoga Voyager is much more sticky than the Eko was. I needed something much lighter for traveling, with enhanced stickiness. The traction of a JadeYoga Voyager mat helps me hold poses. The extra slim Voyager mat provides more stability for better balance. I am very happy customer! Some reviewers made negative comments about the smell of rubber that they claim is strong or unpleasant. I am happy to report that the JadeYoga Voyager natural rubber mat has only the slightest scent of rubber and it is not at all unpleasant. This from me, who is very sensitive to smells good and bad and extremely sensitive to chemically or toxic orders. The JadeYoga Voyager natural rubber mat has a very light pleasant scent which I expect will dissipate over time. The JadeYoga Voyager Natural rubber yoga mat seems to be constructed out of very high-quality materials and seems to be have a great workmanship. On the flip side I see a web of natural fiber woven through the mat for added strength. I am looking forward enthusiastically to a renewed and invigorated yoga practice thanks to the strength and stability and traction provided by this wonderful product~ Finally, I love that that the price is lower than competitors price. Plus, Jade Yoga is planting trees, and practicing good stewardship ~ JadeYoga Voyager is Highly Enthusiastically Recommended!

I ordered this so that I could have a yoga mat while I travel on the road every week. I travel four to five days a week using a 22 inch roller bag and wasn't really in the mood to carry a seperate yoga mat as a carry on. I was shocked when I received the box from Amazon because it was so light; I thought it was empty. This mat is so lightweight and folds up into a nice flat rectangular shape. I just put it right on top of my clothes before I zip up the bag and it fits perfectly. I read some of the other reviews before I bought it and there were a few that said that it's super-thin and doesn't provide a lot of padding. I have found in using it that although it's super-thin it's very durable and it provides enough padding for me to do yoga in hotel rooms without any problem. I guess it's because the carpet in hotel rooms, although thin, provides a good base layer for it so I don't really have an issue. I definitely wouldn't use it as my primary mat at home because I have hardwood floors and I find that I need a thicker mat than this one. However, I do put it on top of my home mat when I'm doing a practice that puts extra pressure on my knees as I'm 56 and appreciate the extra padding in those cases. There were also some comments about whether it was sticky or not, but I haven't found that to be an issue. It does not slip at all when I use it on hotel carpets. As a point of reference, I'm 6' 1" and 200 pounds. I have had the mat for two months. The only other thing I would add is that it doesn't feel cheap in any way. From the moment I took it out of the box and in using it over time, it's very clear that it is a quality product and I'll definitely buy another Jade yoga mat when I change out my main mat.
