Wild Carrot (Daucus Carota) is a biennial, less often annual herb. The root is fleshy, thickened, of various colors and shapes. Stem 25-100 cm high develops in the second year of life. The leaves are triangular, ovate. Flowers are partly bisexual, partly staminate; petals are white or yellow, rarely pink or purple. The inflorescence is a multi-flowered, compound umbrella. Wild Carrot blooms in June and July. The fruits ripen in August.
