New Favorite Controller
I'm not going to lie, I bought it for the looks. I'm not even a TRON fan. I almost bought an Afterglow wiimote as really I only wanted a backup wiimote for friends and stuff so I did not really see any reason to spend $40 on an official wiimote where an $18 wiimote would fill the bill. So what do I do? Ya I saw this, and... it looked cool as all get out so I plunked down more cash than I should have on a Wiimote, but you know what - no regrets. So instead of buying a backup Wiimote, I bought one for myself.Short & Sweet:+ Style+ Better Performance than my original wiimote+ Textured rubber grip+ Softer buttons work great for Wii games+ Limited Edition- No Wii Plus- Price ($10 more than Wiimote that HAS Wii Plus)- Quirky Behavior (see below - could be user error)Long & Drawn Out:It essentially comes down to if you believe the Pros out weigh the Cons, but I'll go into more detail here. I like to spend more time on items that cost more - like Collector's Editions, etc. I can't approach this from Tron fan's perspective, so I'll approach this from gamer who spent a lot of money on a controller's perspective. The style is BEAUTIFUL. I mean it stands out even without the lights. With the lights it is easily the most attractive controller out there ...even more so than the PS3 or XBoX versions of it. I find myself more invigorated to play my Wii games now because of it. But as gamer style means nothing if the performance isn't there. I tested this with Wii games and older games downloaded off of Virtual Console. I had a heck of a time getting Metroid: Other M to recognize me shifting the controller from FPS perspective to 3rd Person with my old Wiimote. I had absolutely zero issues with this controller. I tested it out by playing Phantoon, where you are constantly switching back and forth between the views. I had less issues targeting objects in FPS with this controller and the movement was blatently more precise. I really love the textured rubber grips on this controller both in terms of looks and because I feel like I have a solid grip on the controller the whole time. I also like the softer buttons for Wii play. Usually it is hard to find something that excels in both style and function when it comes to electronics, but this is one of the few that work beautifully. I wish I had a whole Wii system to match this controller. But everything has a downside and the most obvious thing is the price. It is $10 more than a Wiimote with Plus. Now anytime you have custom looks, let alone limited edition copies you know you are going to pay a premium price for it. Honestly I found the performance to work well enough I don't need the Plus, but the fact it doesn't have it is a downside that should not be overlooked.I got some pretty good playtime from the 1st set of batteries - changed them this weekend and had the controller since early December. Though granted I was out of town for 2 weeks for the holidays. What was strange though is when I switched the Duracells for Energizers the controller stopped working after a few hours of play (not continous - I do a lot of off and on play) so I thought that maybe i drained the batteries super quick by constantly turning the remote back on as it wouldn't even let me power the remote back on at all. Out of curiosity to see if the remote was just being stupid I put the old Duracells back in and checked the power bar on the Home button menu and it recognized the battery being low and only let me get in about 30s of use in before it powered off ...so that was expected with drained batteries. I put the Energizers back in and checked the Home Button menu and it shows a full power bar. Quite odd. Maybe one of the batteries simply wasn't put in properly and lost a connection somehow as it hasn't happened since and is working great. So for now I'll chalk that one up to possible user error and say the only odd behavior I'm absolutely sure wasn't my fault was the Home Button menu popped up and went away on its own. I should have looked out my window to see if anyone was opening their garage door on that one. =PI liked this controller so much I bought a PS3 one and an XBoX one. The price you see here is the same whether you buy from Amazon or GameStop so I don't think you'll save any money shopping around unless you can find a used one. In fact, GameStop is the only local chain I found that carries them and in short supply. The PS3 one is second best looking but the worst in performance as the responsiveness just didn't seem to be there and had loose analog sticks. The XBoX version doesn't look as good as the Wii or PS3 but falls in the middle in terms of performance - as the analog sticks are too loose for my tastes since I play FPS games on XBox live, but the quality is better than a standard XBox controller. Honestly my only gripe with the XBox one is the analog sticks being too loose. I will say it does look a little cheesy how the XBox controllers keeps its logo for it's home button instead of using the Tron logo like both the PS3 and Wii use but that is just more of a side note. The TRON Wiimote is my favorite of the 3.

do not buy for wrong reason
I bought this had it for 1 day brought it back.I am big tron fan and yes this control is super COOL.But for the price sorry guys this should have the wii motion plus built into it.As soon as they come with one that has it built in i will go back and buy it.Also blue only color no good. If you are a fan of Tron that is one thing but dont support this controller make them come out with a better one.

Great looking, bad quality.
I bought this controller as I had seen the movie and liked the style. I needed a fourth controller for 4 player games so I said why not, I mean it looked so good. The packaging is nice and so is the actual look and feel of the controller with its rubber grips, gloss black front and blue LEDs.I decided to see how the controller played so I popped in Call of Duty. The B trigger is not as responsive as the first party controller as it takes more force to press. Not only that, but with a nunchuk connected the controller had connection problems. I would hold down the Z button on the nunchuk and after 2 seconds it would let off by itself even though I was still holding the button. Either that or it would respond as if it were the C button instead. In the example of Call of Duty, I would want to aim down the sights of the gun and instead crouch. This happened with every button as well though on the actual controller, with and without the nunchuk connected. This could also be that this controller is actually buggy and could be the bad apple of the bunch. I would beware buying this as I don't know if this is just my controller or not, but as of right now I would not fully recommend this without some sort of caution.

Not too terrible
How the hell is it "used, like new" when it has a bunch of nicks and scratches on it? Huh?

Sweet light-up Wii-mote for Tron geeks
Yes, I am a Tron geek (a mild one, I think). And yes, this Wii-mote gives me a giddy thrill when I look at it. Apart from geeky-giddiness, there are also some serious things to consider before you purchase this Wii-mote. First, the manufacturers are serious about the fact that this is a collector's edition, and so all of the packaging, numbering, seals of authenticity, etc., are all there. This would be a fine item to add to a collection and never open or use. Second, if you can't not use something like this because of the cool factor, or the geeky thrills mentioned above, then you should know that the functionality of this Wii-mote is good overall. It works just like a normal controller with only one exception (at least that I have noticed). The motor(s?) in the controller that generate the vibrations make a little more noise than in the normal Nintendo controllers I own. So, when I scroll over the various channels on the Wii main menu, you actually hear an audible 'whiz' come from the controller every time you hit a new icon, or whenever something happens in a game that normally makes the controller vibrate. This is a really minor complaint, but I can see someone who is sensitive to such things (I am not, luckily) getting annoyed by that. Also, it could be that only my particular controller does that, and so there's no design flaw at all.

Nice controller!!
For a collector, this is a fun controller! It lights up beautifully when activated and the grip feels nice as well. Buttons feel a little softer too, but whether that's a pro or a con is up to the individual gamer; personally, I like it but it's not everyone's cup of tea. And, unlike its PS3 and XBOX brethren, it IS wireless and functions off AA batteries! If I had one complaint, it would be that they did not create a matching nunchuk to go with it. Naturally, it's hard to make a nunchuk light up, but just to have something match it aesthetically with blue striping should not have been that much of a stretch.Still, it's an awesome controller besides the lack of nunchuk (hey, you can always get a black nunchuk - close enough) and there are only 20,000 available (each one is numbered). Get them while you can.
